Rome, May 26, 2026 – From the European Committee of the Regions in Brussels to the monumental heart of Palazzo Valentini in Rome: the “Doc Italy Investitures” marathon confirms itself as the privileged link between agri-food excellence and institutions.
Under the patronage of Fabrizio Santori (Councillor of Roma Capitale and member of the CoR) and with greetings from Councillor Cristina Michetelli, the Association led by Tiziana Sirna celebrated Calabria as the leading region of 2026, demonstrating how the protection of biodiversity and historical roots is the only true key to conquering global markets.
The day saw a succession of giants from gastronomic and institutional culture: from the monumental pastry creations of Master Alfonsa Lanza to presentations by Chef Igles Corelli and Dr. Nicola Di Noia.
A focal point of the session was the appointment of Master Pizza Maker Pietro Tangari, known as “Pedro’s,” as Doc Italy Delegate for the province of Cosenza.
Already an Ambassador since 2019, the Michelin-starred Pizza Chef celebrated his 30 years of prestigious activity and research into highly digestible doughs at Palazzo Valentini.
Alongside him, the Official Event Sponsor, Molino Madre, demonstrated the strategic importance of the short supply chain. The Calabrian milling company, through the selection of the best grains and rigorous milling without chemical additives, establishes itself as the perfect interpreter of the Doc Italy philosophy, providing “live” flours capable of preserving original aromas and consumer health. Since 1939, Molino Madre has dedicated its milling expertise to catering professionals, establishing itself as a key technical partner for those seeking excellence and reliability. From professional flours to artisanal bases, and innovative frozen dough balls, the company develops tailor-made solutions designed to offer high performance and uncompromising results.
The eleventh edition of the Doc Italy Investitures demonstrated that Italian excellence is not an abstract concept, but the tangible result of the union between man, time, and nature.
Entities like Molino Madre represent the beating heart of this vision, transforming a grain of wheat into edible culture; the mill not only produces flour but grinds the very history of its territory, preserving its purity and authenticity.
This is precisely the essence of Doc Italy’s journey.
By bringing these stories from small Italian villages to the institutional palaces of Rome and Brussels, the Association transforms local identity into a universal heritage, demonstrating to the world that true modernity lies in the conscious safeguarding of our deepest roots.
